Doctorate award to Tarun Kakani…

On the occasion of United Nations Human Rights Day celebrations on December 12th, International Commision of Culture and Diplomatic Relations (ICCDR) has awarded Mr Tarun Kakani , CEO of Amaravati Boating Club , Khelo India Member for South Zone , Atal Innovation Mentor with Honorary Doctorate in business administration for his tremendous contribution to tourism and information technology along with social service in the lines of United Nations Millennium Sustainable development goals . He has achieved best smart village partner award from government of AP for adopting his native village of Marribandam in Krishna District and making it first open defecation free village by construction of toilets , digitisation of panchayat,organised several medical camps and Chairty work through Kakani Rammohan Rao Charitable Trust. Mr Tarun was also nominated as champion of change by Niti Ayog in 2017 and was invited for an interaction with the Prime Minister of India to share his ideas on shaping a new India by 2022 . Mr Tarun also serves as alumni secretary and president of the school he studied in at KCPSARPS Kanuru , and Bachelors in engineering at KL University. Dr Tarun Kakani has completed his Masters in USA in Electrical Engineering from IIT(Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA). He served in the international student committee to represent the student issues. He has given guest lectures at over 100 institutions on various industry related technologies .He was part of the CII-AP Dubai delegation in 2016 to study business opportunities and bring investments to AP. Mr Tarun has represented as convenor and chairman for various organisations like CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), Young Indians , Andhra Chambers , Tours and Travels Association of Andhra , Adventure association of AP and various other organisations to represent the issues being faced by tourism sector . He is also author of the book titled “SOP(Standard Operating Procedures of watersports in AP) . He has also served as president of krishna district for protecting consumer rights through an NGO called AASARA (Advocates Association for Social Responsibility and Awareness) . He also started a company called Glocal Technology solutions and provided seed funding investment to several startup’s in AP. For his contribution as an industry expert and social work he was awarded the Honorary Doctorate from Brampton International university of Canada by the ICCDR at Hyderabad on the occasion of international human rights day celebrations. Chief guest Mr SV Krishna IAS, ministry of Jalshakti New Delhi, Film actor and past MAA president Naresh , Dr Srinivas Eluri-Ambassador of ICCDR and several stalwarts were present during the doctorate award to Mr Tarun.
