Central budget is promising for tourism sector… : Dr. Tarun Kakani

Dr Tarun Kakani, Chairman , Andhra Pradesh Adventure Tourism Forum , mentioned that the 2025-2026 budget has given significant allocations to tourism sector. He said that the India Budget 2025 has allocated significant funds to boost the tourism sector.

Dr Tarun mentioned that this budget highlighted below:

– Developing Top 50 Tourist Destinations: The government plans to develop 50 key tourist sites in collaboration with state authorities, focusing on infrastructure enhancements to enrich the visitor experience .
– Promoting Buddhist Tourism: Targeted initiatives will develop locations connected to the life and teachings of Lord Buddha, boosting spiritual tourism .
– Medical Tourism: The “Heal in India” initiative will streamline visa procedures and foster private sector partnerships to position India as a leader in global healthcare tourism .
– Infrastructure Development: The government will develop 22 locations across the country in conjunction with state governments, increasing accessibility and attractiveness of these destinations .
– Financial Support for Hospitality Sector: Hotels in key destinations will be included in the harmonized infrastructure list, ensuring better access to financing and development support .
– Visa Exemptions: Select international tourist groups will be exempt from visa fees, streamlining entry procedures and enhancing India’s appeal as a travel destination .
