India is according utmost priority to establish excellent logistic infrastructure

The Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, G. Kishan Reddy has said that the Government of India is according utmost priority to establish excellent logistic infrastructure in the country under Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Union Minister during his visit to Sri City on Tuesday observed that “Sri City will be a typical ‘case study’ at global level for its unique features of integrated business city and its performance, employment generation, and the use of clean & green initiatives.

The Minister interacted with the CXOs of major industrial units in Sri City and was all praise for the excellently planed industrial hub which is equipped with excellent infrastructure and investor-friendly ambience.

Addressing them, Kishan Reddy said, Sri City had emerged as one of the top ten investment destinations in the country which represents a ‘New India’ that offers reliable services, backed by sound policies, aimed at enhancing ‘ease of doing business’ as envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Union Minister appreciated the efforts of Sri City for being the home for manufacturing industries in various sectors, ranging from Metro coaches, automobiles, engineering products, FMCG, Food processing, air conditioners, electronics, Formulations, etc., and for creating large-scale employment in backward region changing it into a vibrant economic hub.

It is very heartening to note that 50 per cent of the workforce is women, which is a unique feature of Sri City and will certainly become a typical ‘case study’ at global level, and its model has already become a reference case to emulate elsewhere in the country, the Minister added.

He maintained that the Sri City region has significant potential for attracting eco and spiritual tourist groups due to its sustainable environmental practices and assured, on behalf of his ministry all support for any developmental schemes that contribute to more employment generation.

Earlier, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City accorded a warm welcome to Hon’ble Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy on his arrival.
