-Power utilities officials and staff paid tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr. B R Ambedkar at programme held in Vidyut Soudha

The AP Power sector will continue sustained efforts for supplying 24X7 quality and reliable power and contribute for economic development of the state and welfare of the people, said secretary for energy and CMD APTRANSCO, Srikant Nagulapalli .
Speaking on the occasion of 65th death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar, the secretary said that the power utilities are taking all necessary measures to continue the assured 24×7 uninterrupted power supply and meet any immediate demand. The government directed power utilities to maintain the same tempo in power supply and lay continuous focus on transmission and distribution in coming days also in wake of increasing power demand in the State. The secretary has appreciated the engineers and employees of power sector who are working hard to meet the demand and to provide better services to the people in all seasons.
The Secretary paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar, “the father of the Indian Constitution” on the eve of his 65th death anniversary at Vidyut Soudha Vijayawada on Monday. The Secretary said that the Power utilities would follow the foot prints of Dr Ambedkar and strive to strengthen the sector and implement welfare schemes in power sector to benefit weaker section in the State.
He also said that the power utilities has strongly committed for successful implementation of welfare schemes in power sector. He said that 200 units of free electricity to SC, ST category beneficiaries, 100 units to MBCs and handloom workers, 150 units to dobighats and laundries, 100 units to goldsmith workers, saloons and rold-gold workers etc., is being provided by AP government.
On this occasion, every one remembered the services rendered by Dr. Ambedkar to the country.
