Dr Manmohan Singh, IAS appointed as Pay Revision Commission for power utilities

-Commission shall submit its report within a period of two months from the date of assumption of charge.

The State Government has issued orders today appointing Dr.Manmohan singh, IAS (Retired) as Pay Revision Commission to study and make recommendations on revising the pay and allowances and other benefits of the employees recruited under erstwhile APSEB and also the employees recruited under APSPDCL, APCPDCL, APEPDCL, APTRANSCO and APGENCO.
It was stated in the orders that the commission shall submit its report to Government within a period of two months from the date of assumption of charge.
Dr.Manmohan Singh was an IAS (AP-1985) retired as Special Chief Secretary, AP. He did masters in veterinary science and Animal Husbandry from veterinary college, Jabalpur and MBA from Birmingham University (UK).
During his long career as a Bureaucrat, he has served in various capacities as district collector in Ananthapur, Nizamabad and commissioner for school education and tribal welfare, secretary for infrastructure and investments dept, Principal secretary for housing , home department, Animal Husbandry , diary and fisheries dept etc. Dr. Manmohan singh is well known in the bureaucrat circle for his integrity, honesty, foresight and quick action.

During his tenure as Special Chief Secretary Revenue (Lands, Endowments and Disaster Management) and Chief Commissioner Land Administration, he developed Land Titling Act 2019 for conclusive title on land of farmers. This is first of its kind in the country. He implemented the Bhu Seva Project in AP in which Bhoodhar numbers (Unique ID) are given to each parcel of lands. This is also unique achievement in the country.
He brought out an Act to give hereditary rights of archakatvam to the Archakas (temple pujari) in the state, which was long pending issue. The govt. enacted it in Oct. 2019.
