CBC Conducts “Swachhta Hi Seva” at Gowri Library

The Field Office of Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Visakhapatnam, organized an impactful awareness programme on the “Swachhta Hi Seva-2025” campaign at Gowri Grandalayam in Anakapalli today. Tied to the theme “Swachhotsav,” the event advanced the Swachha Bharat Mission by emphasizing zero-waste habits and community sanitation.
Addressing the users and patrons of the Gowri Grandhalayam, CBC Director P Ratnakar emphasized that “Swachhta Hi Seva is more than a campaign, it is a pledge to our future generations for a cleaner, greener India. Events like these in Anakapalli remind us that every small action counts towards the larger vision of a Swachh Bharat.” He appealed to keep the premises clean and tidy to create a positive atmosphere. He said, like the book reading, cleanliness and hygienic practices also improve physical and mental health as well.
Secretary, K.Venkata Ramana explained the services provided by the Gowry Grandhalayam to the citizens in general and aspiring students in particular. President, B. Ramanaji, local teacher A. Venkata Ramachandra Rao and library Staff & students participated in the awareness campaign.
CBC FPO Sreeram Murthy Kandala administered Swachhta pledge to the patrons and students of the historic city library. Following the pledge, CBC officials and volunteers led a hands-on cleanliness drive within the library premises, focusing on litter removal, waste segregation, and space beautification. Similarly, CBC Officials participated in “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” in the All India Radio premises in Visakhapatnam.
