In order to helpGeneral Public from fraudulent deception,Department of Telecommunications (DoT)has undertaken a massive exercise by applying Artificial Intelligence-powered facialrecognition solution for SIM verification to identify fraudulent connectionsandagencies (POS) which are issuing such connections. Telecom Service Providers (TSP) had lodged police complaints on 72 such fraudulent agencies involved in issuing fake connections. The Police authorities have assured prompt action on the concerned agencies. Meanwhile, the DoT had disconnected some 50,825 such fraudulent connections, both in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

మోసపూరిత వంచన నుండి సాధారణ ప్రజలకు సహాయం చేయడానికి, టెలికమ్యూనికేషన్స్ డిపార్ట్మెంట్ (DoT) టెలికాం సిమ్ ధృవీకరణ కోసం ఆర్టిఫిషియల్ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ సహకారంతో ఫేస్ రికగ్నిషన్ద్వారా మోసపూరిత కనెక్షన్లు, అలాంటి కనెక్షన్లను జారీ చేసే ఏజెన్సీలను (POS) గుర్తించడానికి భారీ కసరత్తును చేపట్టింది. తదనుగుణంగా, నకిలీ కనెక్షన్లుజారీ చేసిన టెలికాం సర్వీస్ ప్రొవైడర్స్,72 మోసపూరిత ఏజెన్సీలపై పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేసింది. సంబంధిత ఏజెన్సీలపైవెంటనే చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని పోలీసు ఉన్నతాధికారులు తెలిపారు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రాల్లోగుర్తించిన 50,825 అటువంటి మోసపూరిత కనెక్షన్లను DoT ఇప్పటికే రద్దు పరిచింది.
