Communist Party of India (CPI) National Secretary K. Ramakrishna met with leaders and members of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) in New York and exchanged views on current political developments in India, the United States, and the broader international situation. The meeting was attended by CPUSA Co-Chairs Rossana Cambron and Joe Sims, Ani Toncheva, National Committee and National Board member; Brooklyn Crawford, National Committee member; and Trevor Hoover, Brooklyn Club Co-Chair.
The discussions covered the current political situations in both India and the United States, including recent Gen Z-led movements in India and the active participation of CPI-affiliated student organizations. The participants also exchanged views on the impact of the Trump administration’s policies, including concerns over what they described as its high-handed and imperialistic approach toward other countries and its broader international consequences. The meeting provided an opportunity for CPI and CPUSA representatives to exchange perspectives on contemporary political developments and strengthen dialogue between the two parties.
